LA96C
LA96C is a former NIKE missile control site located in the Santa Monica Mountains, South of Encino, in the San Fernando Valley. The whole time I was up there, I kept thinking: “Well boys, I reckon this is it—nuclear combat toe-to-toe with the Ruskies.”

I love this place – we used to go hiking out there with our dog when we were living in LA.

I’ve lived in The Valley for a couple of decades now, knew it was there, but only got up there for the first time when I took these pictures.
